| Kyoto Roughed Up By Reliables | The rain did not keep Hosho and Kyoto from finishing their game.
Due in large part to shortstop Yamahiko Hirata, the Hosho Reliables sunk the Kyoto Owls, 9-2. Hirata belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Shinki Kimura earned the win to go to 7-4. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts in 7.2 innings of work.
In the top of the third, Hirata had a 2-run double for Hosho. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Reliables on top, 2-0.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Hirata told the Hosho Times. "Whatever it takes."
With the victory, the Reliables upped their record to 45-38.
