| Kingfishers Win at Home, 7-3 | Not everyone stuck through the 18-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The Yokohama Kingfishers had to overcome a big game from Kyoto right fielder Katsuki Taira to leave Kanagawa Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-3. Taira was 4 for 4 with a double and 3 singles. Yokohama raised its record to 49-33 with the win.
In the bottom of the fourth, Yokohama center fielder Souhei Tamura had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Tamura stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 2-1, Yokohama. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
Tamura said his team "played with determination."
