The Rakisuta Rams eked out a 3-2 win versus the Kyoto Owls at Rakisuta Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Masakado Matsuda. He was terrific. The loss makes Kyoto 36-38.

In the bottom of the ninth, with two out and the game tied, 2-2, 24-year old right fielder Sukeichi Onodera won it for Rakisuta. With a runner on 3rd, Onodera hit a 1-1 fastball from Naizen Sano for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.

"That's how to finish a ballgame," said Matsuda.
