| Bears Slap 4-2 Loss on Rakisuta | Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Sapporo Bears got the win.
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 23-year old center fielder Nobuyori Toyama, the Sapporo Bears stopped the Rakisuta Rams, 4-2. The winning pitcher was Yoshifumi Kuramoto. He tossed 95 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 1 hit. Taishi Yoshimura closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
With Sapporo trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the third, Toyama hit a splitter from Shigeyoshi Taira for a 2-run double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Bears ahead, 3-2.
"Feels good to get the job done," Toyama said after the game.
The win puts Sapporo at 29-43.
