| Owls Shut Out Dynamics, 7-0 | The Kyoto Owls topped the Denki Dynamics, 7-0, in Eastern League action at Owls Park. The standout performance belonged to Kyoto pitcher and Sakai, Japan, native Toshimasa Kobayashi. The Owls saw their win-loss record go to 43-49. At the same time, the Dynamics fell to 35-54.
The Owls got a big at-bat from catcher Koto Seki. For the game, Seki went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Kyoto a 2-0 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Kyoto manager Takejiro Yonemura.
