Hotta Hits 2 home runs in Bears Win
Led by 22-year-old Kenichi Hotta, the Sapporo Bears downed the Kyoto Owls, 6-5. Hotta hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Sapporo. The last-place Bears go to 24-41.

Hotta had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Kenshin Kon, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Bears a 6-5 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Hotta.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Bears manager Ritsuo Yoshida. "This one was nice to get."
