The Sapporo Bears scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Yokohama Kingfishers at Sapporo Stadium. Sapporo pitcher Tomochika Takada held his own in the contest. So far in 1975, Sapporo is 27-34.

The decisive blow was delivered by Masao Shiotani in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off two-time All-Star Kiyoji Nakamura to win the game for Sapporo. The home crowd went nuts.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Shiotani said, postgame.
