| Reliables Dismantle Rams, 13-2 | The Hosho Reliables reigned over the Rakisuta Rams in damp conditions.
Hosho center fielder Ryunosuke Kodama was instrumental in helping the Reliables triumph, 13-2, over the Rakisuta Rams. Kodama went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times. Shihei Saito got the win, improving to 7-3. He worked 6.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0.
Hosho used a clutch at-bat from Yukio Watanabe to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Reliables ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I wish every win came this easy," said Kodama.
The first-place Reliables have won 4 straight games.
