Kingfishers Dispose of Dynamics, 10-3 | Yokohama pitcher Masatoshi Sakai did his part in helping his team beat the Denki Dynamics, 10-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Sakai, who finished 4th in the EL in ERA with 2.63 in 1959, went the distance for Yokohama. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. With the win, Yokohama upped its record to 28-21.
Yoshiyasu Maeda hit a 2-run double off Yoshitsune Nakamura in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Kingfishers in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Maeda had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
