| Big Day by Yamashita Sparks 7-5 Kyoto Win | At Owls Park, the Denki Dynamics and Kyoto Owls were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Kyoto Owls knocked off the Denki Dynamics, 7-5, at Owls Park. Hiroshi Yamashita was a big reason Kyoto won. The catcher belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Kenshin Kon was credited with the save for Kyoto, his 13th of the season.
With Kyoto leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Yamashita hit a changeup from Takehiro Moriyama for a 3-run home run. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the Owls ahead, 6-0.
"Winning is seldom easy in this league," said Yamashita.
The Owls go to 38-29, putting them second in the Eastern League.
