Arrows Beat Wranglers in 10
The home team gave the crowd some walk-off drama.

Milwaukee right-hander Tex Cavanaugh helped his team edge Dallas by the score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Cavanaugh kept the opposing lineup in check. Milwaukee reliever Bud Andrews picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Asbury Ashmore was saddled with the loss.

The Arrows relied on pinch hitter Gene Owens for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

Afterward, Arrows manager Randy Hendrix was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."

The win puts the Arrows at 34-22, while the Wranglers drop to 28-26.
