 | Casey Strokes 5 Hits Monday, August 7th , 1916 5 times is the charm -- at least for Don Casey. The Toledo Top Hats right fielder tore up the Cedar Rapids Rabbits to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Cedar Rapids Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Casey powered the 10-9 Top Hats win. "Casey was a tough out," Cedar Rapids manager Fred Barnett said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Don Casey tripled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.
