All season long Les Whitcomb gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .367 as he collected 186 hits, 20 doubles, 28 triples, 4 home runs and 83 RBIs.
Heartland League Top Pitcher Selected Tuesday, September 30th , 1913 Top Hats ace Ray Krapf is the latest Heartland League Pitcher of the Year Award trophy winner. The Toledo star shined on the diamond time and again this year and finished with an outstanding 16-11 record.
In 27 starts he tossed 237.2 innings, posted 100 strikeouts and sported a 3.07 ERA. Opposing batters hit .247 when Krapf was pitching.
