 | Duttweiler Raps Cedar Rapids for 5 Hits Saturday, April 28th , 1917 5 times is the charm -- at least for Walter Duttweiler. The Peoria Distillers left fielder tore up the Cedar Rapids Rabbits to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Cedar Rapids Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Duttweiler powered the 6-4 Distillers win. "Duttweiler was a tough out," Cedar Rapids manager Fred Barnett said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Walter Duttweiler singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
