| Saints Win, 7-0, as Erickson Mystifies Sacramento Wednesday, April 4th , 1917 Augie Erickson of the Los Angeles Saints humiliated the Sacramento Maroons at Saints Park, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 5 hits.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Sacramento manager Tony Shay, after the game.
Erickson whiffed 6 and walked 1 in the 7-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Erickson said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
