| Calvados Wins WCA Player of the Week Prize Monday, April 2nd , 1917 San Francisco fans have something to crow about today as San Francisco left fielder Mike Calvados nabbed the West Coast Association Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days.
"I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Calvados.
He posted a .520 average (13-for-25) this past week with 1 home run, 10 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.
In 16 games this year, Calvados has posted a .470 average and put up these numbers: 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 10 runs scored. | | |
