| Big Day with Bat: Harrison 5-for-5 Saturday, August 26th , 1916 It seemed that Tacoma starting pitcher Mike Harrison could do no wrong as the Browns KO'd the Warriors, 18-3. Harrison rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Warriors hurlers were throwing.
"I think the Browns were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Seattle fan after the game.
"I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Harrison in the postgame press interview.
Mike Harrison walked in a run in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and tripled in the 8th.
To date this year, Harrison has compiled a 9-10 mark with a 3.37 ERA in 28 starts. | | |
