 | Komatsu Headed for Retirement Saturday, May 10th , 1975 Arata Komatsu said it's time for him to concentrate on "being a father and a husband" after this baseball season. At age 42, the native of Zama, Japan has announced he will retire from professional baseball. "I want to thank all my teammates, the fans, and the Kobe Bulls organization, but this is it for me," he said. "I've got a lovely family at home I can't wait to spend more time with." In his career, Komatsu has 284 victories and 175 defeats with a 2.88 ERA. |   |
