 | Ishii Silences Vesutan, 7-0 Monday, May 5th , 1975 In a seemingly effortless performance, Shuuji Ishii of the Fukuoka Falcons shot down the Vesutan Bees, 7-0, on 3 hits. "Shuuji was just locating so well and using his pitches," Fukuoka manager Kamlyn Kadota said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Ishii recorded 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Vesutan manager Jack Fletchings said in postgame comments to BNN.
