Takahiko Kurata may be retiring from professional baseball, but don't expect him to sit still.

The Osaka Sailors starting pitcher today announced that this season will be his last. But at age 41, he still has big plans for the future.

"I'm looking forward to traveling and seeing the world outside of Baseball Association of Nippon parks. I also want to start taking up some new hobbies and maybe start up a new business, too," he said. "I'm going to enjoy my retirement."

Kurata has a lifetime record of 248 wins and 245 losses and a 3.38 ERA.
