 | Kyoto Shuts Out Sapporo, 7-0 Thursday, May 1st , 1975 It wasn't easy but Takamitsu Fujiwara made it look that way. Fujiwara silenced the Sapporo Bears, 7-0, in a Kyoto Owls triumph at Owls Park. Despite the appearance of dominance, Fujiwara said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 4 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
