 | Yoshimura Bags EL Best Player Award Monday, May 7th , 1962 His face might be sunbaked after all the years he's invested in this game, but 35-year-old Eishin Yoshimura of the Denki Dynamics is still playing a kid's game -- and getting paid for it. The veteran left fielder had a tremendous week and was named the Eastern League Player of the Week. Yoshimura drilled 10 hits in 20 at-bats and 3 home runs on his way to posting a .500 average.
