| Sale Finalized, Yoshimoto Takes over in Fukuoka Thursday, October 10th , 1974 As expected, Baseball Association of Nippon owners gave their stamp of approval to the sale of the Fukuoka Falcons.
Jouta Yoshimoto, a noted technologist, purchased the team from Yasuhide Shibata. Terms were not disclosed.
Yoshimoto made a promise to Falcons fans everywhere at his introductory press conference.
"Number one thing is that we're going to be a fun club to watch. That means a lot of things. We're going to get good players and coaches, play Falcons baseball, and win a lot of games."
According to financial insiders with knowledge of the new owner, he is demanding in expectations and in dealing with people. Financially, Yoshimoto is known for being charitable. | | |
