 | Rams Fukushima Takes EL Batting Crown Wednesday, October 2nd , 1974 Shouta Fukushima was at the head of the class in the Eastern League this year. The standout Rams third baseman posted a .319 average to capture the batting crown. Fukushima went to the plate 526 times and collected 168 hits, including 17 doubles, no triples and 19 home runs.
