The 39-year-old first baseman had a hand in the Nagasaki Stars 12-9 victory with 1 home run and 1 run batted in. For the day he went 1 hit-4 at-bats. At the press conference after the game, Nishi downplayed his achievement. "To reach 300 home runs is amazing and something I'll always cherish. I've been fortunate to remain healthy and play at a high level through most of my career." Nishi is batting .270 with 2236 career base hits, including 403 doubles, 49 triples and 300 home runs with 1080 RBIs and 1238 runs scored.
