 | Yoshimura Claims EL Batter of the Month Award Sunday, October 1st , 1961 Eishin Yoshimura of the Denki Dynamics had a field day with Eastern League pitchers last month and was crowned the Batter of the Month as a result. During September he compiled a .326 batting average, drove in 10 runs and scored 24 times. He also managed to pick up 29 walks to post a .484 on-base percentage. This year, Yoshimura is batting .277 with 9 home runs. |   |
