| Harrisburg Stops Hardin Hit Streak Friday, September 7th , 1917 The 20-game hitting streak is over.
Lancaster Turnpikes left fielder Hank Hardin failed to get a hit against the Harrisburg Capitols and had his consecutive-game hitting streak broken. The 33-year-old went 0-for-3 in his club's 5-4 victory over the Capitols at Conestoga Grounds.
"I think I only made it to 20 games because I got lucky once or twice," he said. "So I guess I can't complain too much that I got unlucky and broke the streak."
This year, Hardin is batting .369 with 2 home runs. He has scored 50 runs and driven in 66. | | |
