| Wada Humbles Vesutan, 9-0 Saturday, September 2nd , 1961 Kiyomitsu Wada was in a mood to talk following the Kobe Bulls contest against the Vesutan Bees, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Bees, 9-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Wada said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Vesutan on a 4-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 2 strikeouts.
This season, Wada has compiled a 6-9 mark with a 4.77 ERA.
