 | Deal: Yamashita for Goto Friday, March 8th , 1963 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Stars announced today the acquisition of 28-year old RHP Tatsuki Goto from the Vesutan Bees in exchange for 30-year old 3B Shuuhei Yamashita. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Stars, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Yamashita has a career .256 average with 741 hits, including 113 doubles, 15 triples and 54 homers, collected 362 RBIs, scored 322 runs and compiled a .314 OBP. Lifetime Goto has registered a 76-75 record with a 4.05 ERA. |   |
