 | Hund Puts Screws to Paterson Friday, August 18th , 1916 Reading's Ralph Hund brought his best stuff to Iron Hill Park, shutting down and shutting out the Paterson Industrians, 5-0. He racked up 4 strikeouts, surrendered 4 hits, and issued 2 walks on his way to the victory. "We barely made him work at all," Paterson manager Bert Hynes said later. "Reading could probably pitch him again tomorrow if they wanted." So far this season, Hund has logged a 11-9 record with a 4.69 ERA.
