 | Ezaki Pounds EL Pitchers This Week Monday, September 9th , 1963 Rakisuta fans have something to crow about today as Rakisuta shortstop Mutsuhito Ezaki nabbed the Eastern League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Ezaki. He posted a .450 average (9-for-20) this past week with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. For the season, Ezaki is batting .192 with 65 hits and 7 home runs. He has scored 23 times and batted in 35. |   |
