 | Nishimoto Top Hitter in EL in August Sunday, September 1st , 1963 Subaru Nishimoto is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Sapporo first baseman joined that select company when the Eastern League announced the results of August's voting. Nishimoto totaled 29 hits, 11 walks, 8 home runs, 28 RBIs and 24 runs scored last month to put together a .337 batting average and .431 on-base percentage. Nishimoto is currently hitting at a .265 pace with 19 home runs and 65 RBIs. |   |
