First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .346 clip, then the Fukuoka center fielder finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the WL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too."
