 | EL Gives Outstanding Pitcher Award Tuesday, October 21st , 1975 The Eastern League made the official announcement today. The 1975 Eastern League Noburu Kagawa Award has gone to Shihei Saito of Hosho. He had a superlative season, chalking up a 17-8 won-lost mark with an impressive 2.80 ERA. Saito logged 30 starts, threw 221.2 innings, yielded 183 hits, struck out 106 and held the opposition to a .226 batting average. He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 12. Kakuro Watanabe of the Yokohama Kingfishers finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Takamitsu Fujiwara of the Kyoto Owls finished third.
