Knox Muzzles Nagasaki Bats
Wednesday, September 10th , 1975
The Nagasaki Stars were almost helpless in their 3-0 loss to the Vesutan Bees and hurler Bill Knox. Knox kept the Stars confused all game, spinning a 6-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Knox," Nagasaki manager Okura Ichimura said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 29-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Knox said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

To date this year, Knox shows a 11-10 record, 26 starts, 164.1 innings, 96 strikeouts and a 4.16 ERA.
