| Yoshimura Now Hall of Famer Wednesday, January 1st , 1975 At the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies today, the longtime friend and manager of Kinzo Yoshimura told the audience, "The worst thing as a manager is the day you realize you want to win more than the players do. I never had that problem with Kinzo. Nobody wanted to win more than this gifted pitcher."
For his strong and consistent pitching over the years, Yoshimura was voted into the Baseball Association of Nippon Hall of Fame by the Baseball Writers Association.
When he ended his career at age 41, Yoshimura had a career won-loss record of 174 wins and 115 losses with 1435 strikeouts in 2544 innings and a 3.34 ERA. | | |
