| Kobayashi Befuddles Kobe in 6-0 Osaka Win Wednesday, August 13th , 1975 The Kobe Bulls were almost helpless in their 6-0 loss to the Osaka Sailors and hurler Tetsushou Kobayashi. Kobayashi kept the Bulls confused all game, spinning a 5-hit shutout.
"Tip your hat to Kobayashi," Kobe manager Ikuhiko Murata said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."
The 26-year-old left-hander had no walks and 2 strikeouts in a strong performance.
"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Kobayashi said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."
This season in 19 starts, Tetsushou Kobayashi has a record of 7-9 with 78 strikeouts in 121 innings and a 4.76 ERA.
