Yokohama Deals Oishi to Nagasaki for Sato

In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Yokohama Kingfishers and the Nagasaki Stars have agreed to a deal that will have 33-year old LF Tokita Oishi and 24-year old 1B Shuuto Katayama heading to Nagasaki in exchange for 31-year old RHP Tatsuo Sato. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games.


In 1193 games, Oishi is a lifetime .277 hitter. He has knocked in 751 runs, scored 673 times, hit 171 home runs, walked 568 times and has an on-base percentage of .364.

So far in Sato's career, the 31-year-old starter has won 101 and lost 61, collecting 963 strikeouts with a 3.05 ERA. Opponents have hit .237 against him.
