 | Falcons Come up Short of Playoffs Thursday, September 27th , 1962 The Fukuoka Falcons quite simply didn't have what it took this year. The club was formally eliminated from playoff qualification in 1962. "It feels bad," said Falcons center fielder Akihito Otani, when asked for his response by reporters. "Having your biggest hopes of the year dashed feels bad." This is the club's 7th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1955. In total, the Falcons have missed the playoffs 12 times in their 13-year history. |   |
