 | Hosho Season Won't Continue in Playoffs Tuesday, September 25th , 1962 While they stayed relevant until late in the season, a playoff berth wasn't meant to be this season for the Hosho Reliables. The club was eliminated from playoff contention today. "Even though we knew where things stood, it's a disappointment," Reliables manager Shun Kawamura said. Hosho last appeared in the postseason in 1952. This is their 10th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 12 times in their 13-year history.
