 | Ling Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, April 21st , 1917 Gus Ling's bat has been smoking lately, and it continued today as he went 1-for-4 in his team's 3-2 triumph over the Reading Ironmasters at Iron Hill Park. The 31-year-old first baseman has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games for the Shipwrights. Gus Ling walked in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. |   |
