"His numbers speak for themselves," a club publicist said. "He's been really seeing the ball well."
Indeed, Alexander has. Last week he went 6 for 10, batted .600 with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs.
This season, Alexander has delivered 40 hits in 114 at-bats for a .351 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .552 clip and his totals also include 34 RBIs and 32 runs scored. This year Alexander has played in 35 games. | | Beck Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Panhandle Friday, June 27th , 1975 Hal Beck's 24-game hitting streak was snapped at Tasmanian Devils Park. The 29-year-old Santa Fe Coyotes shortstop failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the Panhandle Jackrabbits, but Santa Fe came out the winner, 7-4.
"I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Hal," Coyotes manager Tommy Sorensen said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames."
