It was a very good month for Carl Davis in August. The 36-year-old veteran starter for the Sioux Falls Prairie Dogs outpitched everybody -- young and old -- to claim the Western Baseball League Pitcher of the Month award earlier today.
Davis ran up a 5-0 record in his 6 starts during the month. In 40 innings he fanned 49 and recorded a 0.68 ERA.
