 | Dynamos Gregg Smacks 6 Hits Saturday, June 16th , 1962 The 6th time is the charm -- at least for Cecil Gregg. The left fielder for the Detroit Dynamos hit the milestone against the Boston Minutemen, helping his club to a narrow 10-9 victory. Gregg finished with a 6-for-6 line at the plate. "Gregg was a tough out," Boston manager Bill Freeman told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one." Cecil Gregg hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
