Magic was in the air and on the mound at Dyckman Stadium, as Jim White held the Toronto Wolves spellbound in his 4-0 shutout victory. The New York Imperials pitcher went the distance, rang up 7 strikeouts, walked 3, and held the Wolves to 6 hits.

"He just had us in his thrall," Toronto manager Carl Evans said. "We couldn't put anything together against him."
