Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Bell finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Pioneers to a win, 16-0.
"Bell was really good and we were really bad," groaned Suns manager Bill Morrill. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
Bob Bell singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Norm Van Dyne in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
