"He was patient up there," Pittsburgh skipper Harry Barrell told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Schmitt has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Gale Schmitt singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and doubled in the 8th.
