Dynamos Drop Miners, 3-2 | The Detroit Dynamos got a marvelous performance from pitcher Jim Norris. The left-hander kept the Pittsburgh offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Detroit victory at Thompson Field. The Dynamos, now 8-3, have been playing some good baseball.
The Dynamos got a big at-bat from third baseman Virgil Ewing. For the game, Ewing went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Detroit a 3-2 lead.
"We did enough to win," said Ewing. | |
