| Big Day for Barker: Swats 5 Hits Tuesday, September 3rd , 1974 Don Barker had an answer for everything the Minneapolis Millers threw at him at Hennepin County Stadium. The Chicago third baseman went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Chiefs a win, 12-9.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Barker said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
