Davis Rips 2 Home Runs in 7-2 Pioneers Triumph
St. Louis center fielder Danny Davis contributed significantly to his team's 7-2 win over the Boston Minutemen. Davis, who is on pace for 127 RBI this season, went 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Pioneers. St. Louis is first in the Federal Association with a record of 87-48.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Davis delivered big-time for St. Louis, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Bob Hollister. The game-changing hit put the Pioneers on top, 4-2.

Said Boston manager Bill Freeman: "They just got the better of us."
