Adrian Czerwinski of the Cleveland Foresters might be an old man, but he can still pitch with the best of them. Today the 36-year-old hurler snagged the Continental Association Allen Award honors for his outstanding 1961 performance.

He posted a 3.54 ERA with 18 wins, 9 losses, 163 strikeouts and 74 walks in 254.1 innings.

He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 16. Jake Pearson of the Cleveland Foresters finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Charlie Lawson of the San Francisco Sailors finished third with 5 first place votes.
