"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Beavers hurler finished with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," New York manager Bob Kuhl said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
This year in 38 starts, Brantley has recorded 24 wins and absorbed 10 losses. He has pitched 340 innings, allowed 272 hits, struck out 204 and has a 1.72 ERA.
